PRAYER AND FASTING

Last year, in August and September, we put an intentional focus on prayer and fasting. We were literally building an altar to the Lord for the next season of THP, which resulted in the completion of our prayer center. We focused Sunday mornings on prayer and Wednesdays on fasting during that season. This year, we sensed a clear focus from the Lord to pray and fast for schools, students, and families.

August 4th–6th: Prayer & Fasting Schedule

On August 4th-6th join us as we will be praying and fasting together each day
(Monday – Schools // Tuesday – Students // Wednesday – Families).

I encourage you to also join us on campus each morning at 6:00am–6:50am as we gather together to pray. There is power in unity, power in agreement; these mornings are a sacred time (set apart) to align our hearts with the heart of the Father. It’s where intercession arises and breakthrough comes.

Matthew 6 Jesus commanded His followers… “when you give… when you pray… when you fast…”

  • Fasting is abstaining from food to seek God.

    READ Daniel 9:3-23… Ephesians 1:15-23… Colossians 1:9-13…

    • Have your Bible, journal/notepad accessible each day.

    • Choose an area of your daily routine of eating (a certain type of food, a meal/meals, etc.) to fast for 3 days. You decide what you fast; for some, one meal a day, some two meals, for some it will be sugar or caffeine, some fruit only, some an absolute fast water only.

    • Again, the fast is not the focus, the Lord is. We are praying and fasting to KNOW Him!
